ABOUT US

Founded in 2011, Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory creates pathways into creative careers for youth and emerging artists.

Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory (BHAC) provides hands-on training, paid work experience, mentorship, and access to creative tools across arts, media, and creative technology.

Our programs are offered at
no cost to participants.

OUR VISION

We believe creative industries should reflect the communities they serve.  BHAC builds inclusive creative workforces by combining career development, culturally grounded arts practice, and healing-centered learning. Our programs support youth and adults across Los Angeles through workshops, year-long training, and professional development, meeting people where they are and supporting long-term growth.

TEACHING
ARTISTS

Our Teaching Artists are practicing professionals with dual careers as artists and educators. Trained in Restorative Cultural Arts™ Praxis, they bring creativity, cultural knowledge, and healing-centered practice into schools, parks, community spaces, and justice-impacted settings.

More than 100 active Teaching Artists—part of the 175 we’ve supported over the past decade—share their skills, support one another, and cultivate the next generation of creators.
