Los Angeles is uniquely positioned as the epicenter of the creative arts industries (Music, Film, Television, Digital Media, Publishing, and related arts industries) however these industries are as mysterious as they are selective. Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory (BHAC) has carefully crafted programming that fosters an understanding of the creative arts industry, and its many components, including music labels, marketing, promotion, distribution, publishing, performance rights, artist management, touring, promotion, producing and recording. BHAC’s curriculum introduces segments of the recording and music industry, and explains how they operate on a day-to-day basis as well outlining career opportunities that are available within the industry.
BHAC will help you:
- Understand the structure of, and relationship between, the recording, music publishing, marketing and live performance industries.
- Learn about different career and income opportunities in the music industry.
- Understand the business aspects involved in producing, manufacturing, marketing, and distributing records.
- Understand the responsibilities of the artist as they relate to recording, touring, and self-promotion.

Cinema Arts Blended Learning Education Program

In this free, 10-week media arts program,high school students will create an original web-series the will be distributed publicly online. Participants will learn writing for the web, filmmaking techniques, and marketing and graphic design to promote their film. Class size is limited to 15 enrollees.
